Students ride for free on the MRT-3, LRT-2, PNR during weekdays

Good news to our commuting students. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) recently announced that they can ride the MRT-3, LRT-2, and PNR free of charge on weekdays.

The free fare is applicable to students during select hours of the day from Mondays to Fridays, excluding holidays. Schedules are as follows:

  • MRT-3: 5AM to 6:30AM and 3PM to 4:30PM
  • LRT-2: 5AM to 6:00AM and 3PM to 4PM
  • PNR: 5AM to 6:00AM and 3PM to 4:30PM

The free ride is effective starting July 1, 2019. Students who wish to avail will need to apply for a Student Pass. The DOTr has set-up a simple application process on this LINK.
