The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 launches in the Philippines. The handset and its pop-up selfie camera is now in stores with a price of PHP 12,990.

The much awaited launch was greeted by a long line of eager fans waiting to get their hands on the device. Those who arrived early to purchase a Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 received a free Bluetooth speaker worth PHP 990.

Now that the ban has been eased, Pinoy customers’ confidence in Huawei has been restored. The result? The company sold over PHP 200,000,000 worth of Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 in the first 2 hours. That’s an estimated 15,397 units. Not bad.

To recap, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features a notchless 6.59-inch full HD IPS display, a Kirin 710F processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 4000 mAh battery. It has a 16MP motorized pop-up front camera, and a triple camera setup at the back with a 16MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
