Nowadays, it’s difficult to find good budget earbuds, let alone the Truly Wireless Stereo or TWS kind. You often get compromises, sacrificing sound quality, build quality, or battery life. But there are times where we get lucky and come across a good balance of features. That’s what the Joyroom JR-T04S TWS offers.
Sold by Digital Walker, the Joyroom JR-T04S is a good alternative to the Apple AirPods at a fraction of the cost. These truly wireless earbuds retail for PHP 1,390, and offers good value for the price.

Design and Build Quality
The JR-T04S TWS are designed to look like the Apple AirPods with some slight differences. It is made of plastic with a glossy white finish. Even the charging case has a similar shape.
The earphones have an open design with a flat stem. These aren’t in-ears. It sits in your ear, as opposed to being plugged in. Each earpiece has a multifunction button, a microphone, and speaker vents.
The material and design make theses light and quite comfortable to wear. They are snug, but some may struggle with getting a good fit. I had to adjust mine from time to time to get a good seal.
Performance
The JR-T04S connects to devices using Bluetooth 5. It has a stable connection, with low latency and less lag.
Pairing the JR-T04S is pretty straightforward. As soon as you take it out of the case, each side automatically pairs with the other. From there, you just pair them to your device as you would any other Bluetooth earphones.
The multi-function buttons on either side are for controls. Press and hold the right button to play the next song, and the left to go back to the previous song. Do a quick press for play or pause. To answer or reject calls, press any of the buttons. Double press either buttons to activate either Siri or Google Assistant.
Audio Quality
Audio quality is where the JR-T04S truly shines. The earphones come with 13mm dynamic drivers, offering audio performance way above its price point.
Provided you get a good seal, you’ll be surprised at how good these sound. I was impressed, considering these cost less than PHP 1.5k. The earphones have good bass with above average mids and crisp highs. Clarity is above average with acceptable separation and semi wide soundstage.

It won’t give you good isolation though, given that these have an open design.
Battery Life
The Joyroom JR-T04S comes with a 45mAh battery per earpiece. The charging case has 500mAh. Battery life is average, lasting up to 3 hours of playback. The case provides up to 20 hours of playback.
It takes 2 hours to charge the earphones to full. The case charges to 100% in over 3 hours.
Conclusion
Those who don’t want to shell out major dough for the Apple AirPods should take a close look at the Joyroom JR-T04S TWS. Priced at PHP 1,390, these definitely offer good value for money.
Sure, you don’t get some of the cool features of the AirPods, but you do get basic controls, not to mention great sound quality, a comfortable and attractive design, up to 20 hours of playback, and a price tag that’s hard to ignore.

My left AirPod isn’t working and isn’t making any sound, how to fix it?
The touch on these works by itself. It keeps pausing my music and playing randomly. Would recommend this if there was a way to disable the touch. I faced same issue on both: T-03S & JR-T03 Pro.
