OnePlus Band with 14 day battery life, AMOLED display now official

OnePlus is the latest smartphone manufacturer to enter the wearables market by announcing its first, the OnePlus Band.

The OnePlus Band comes with an affordable price tag of INR 2,499, which is around ~Php 1,650 or ~USD 34 when converted. It comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED display with a 294 x 126 resolution, around 37 different watch faces, and three distinct colorways Navy, Tangerine Gray, and Black.

The wearable is operated by touch, which means there are no physical buttons. It has a weight of just 22.6 grams, so you’ll probably barely feel it on your wrist.

As a sports band, it offers 12 different exercise modes with a 5ATM and IP68 water and sweat resistance.

As for its functions and sensors, there’s a blood oxygen sensor (SpO2), an optical heart rate sensor, sleep monitoring, and a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope onboard. The band can also be used to control music playback and the camera shutter of your smartphone.

The OnePlus Band connects to compatible smartphones via Bluetooth 5. Its 100mAh battery offers up to 14 days of battery life. Data and other tracking can be monitored and adjusted through the new OnePlus Health app (available for Android phones).

At this point, there are no news yet on when or if it will become available in the Philippines.
