According to the latest data from Canalys, vivo ranked fifth in global smartphone shipments with a market share of 10% in the second quarter of 2021, an increase of 27% year on year.
Quarterly numbers from Canalys indicated that vivo maintained strong growth momentum to remain among the top five in global smartphone shipments in the past year.
In Q2 2021, global smartphone shipments has increased by 12%, as economies begin to recover. Samsung once again is the leading vendor with a strong 19% share.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi overtakes Apple, becoming the number two smartphone vendor for the first time with a 17% share in Q2 2021. The big leap was built on a growth of 83% year on year. Apple is third third with 14% share, and OPPO sits at fourth with 10%.
