Huawei is bringing its latest midrange phones nova 8 and nova 8i to the Philippines. No exact date has been mentioned, but its going to be sometime this August.
The nova series have built a reputation for decent specs with equally good design at affordable prices. These new releases are no different, boasting of 64MP cameras and ultra high charging speeds.
The Huawei nova 8 sports a 7nm Kirin 820E chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage. At the front, it has a spacious 6.57-inch OLED panel with a fingerprint scanner underneath it and a 32MP punch hole selfie camera.
At the back, you have four cameras with a 64MP main, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro ,and 2MP depth sensors. They used a similar layout found on their latest Huawei P50 series.
The phone also has a 3,800mAh battery. Its not the biggest capacity, as midrange goes. But most impressive about it is the USB-C 66W Huawei SuperCharge, which is said to reach 60% charge in just 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Huawei nova 8i packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset with a 6.67-inch IPS display, a larger 4300mAh battery, and the equally enticing 66W fast charging. The handset has the same set of rear cameras as the nova 8, but instead of a 32MP selfie snapper, it has a 16MP instead.
That’s all for now. We’ll have more details once it becomes available.
