ASUS PH announces new Vivobook 15 OLED laptop

ASUS today launched its first Vivobook laptop with an OLED display – the ASUS Vivobook 15 OLED. It features a 15.6-inch three-sided NanoEdge OLED display with a 178 degree wide viewing angle and an overall 85% screen-to-body ratio.

The display panel offers an improved viewing experience brought about by a series of features, such as the professional-grade color reproduction that’s vetted by various industry leaders like Pantone, a 60% higher color volume with accurate colors even at low brightness, one million to one true black contrast ratio, and 70% less blue light.

The Vivobook 15 OLED comes in two flavors — K513EA come with an up to Intel Core i5 processor and M513UA with an up to an AMD Ryzen 7 processor. Both variants are equipped with 8GB RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), with a multitude of I/O ports including a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, two USB 2.0, an HDMI, an Audio Jack Combo, and a Micro SD Card reader.

The Vivobook 15 OLED is made to be thin and light for mobile work or learning. It only weighs 1.8kg and is up to 18.6mm thin. It features a Harman-Kardon-certified sound system that delivers high-fidelity audio, and also features an AI noise-canceling audio that enhances speech input and reduces background noise from the laptop’s mic and speaker.

It comes pre-installed with genuine Windows and Office Home & Student 2019, and a Nereus backpack. It features Windows 10 out of the box and is also upgradeable to Windows 11 for free upon availability.
