Huawei launched two new devices for the Philippine market — the Huawei MateBook 14s laptop+ and the Huawei nova 9 smartphone.
The Huawei MateBook 14s is tagged with the Latpop+ moniker as it brings several industry-firsts in the flagship laptop segment.
The device uses a slim design with sharpened edges and a 2.5K Huawei FullView display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, multi-touch support, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the MateBook 14s boast up to an Intel Core i7 chip with Intel EVO Platform, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. It runs on Windows 10 with the option to upgrade for free to Windows 11 when it becomes available.

The Huawei nova 9, on the other hand, features a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset with 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, and Wi-Fi 6.
It has a total of five cameras — 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth at the back, and a 32MP selfie camera in front.
The handset is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 4300mAh battery with a USB-C 66W fast charging.
Price and Availability
The Huawei MateBook 14s is officially coming to the Philippines on October 28. Meanwhile, the availability date of the Huawei nova 9 is yet to be revealed. Details of the devices’ official availability are yet to be announced, so stay tuned.
