Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy S22 series. Just like last year’s, the latest series has three models — the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
All three handsets are powered by either a 4nm Exynos 2200 or a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, depending on the region. The Philippines will have the latter.
Samsung has also confirmed that the Galaxy S22 series is going to be supported by up to four generations of Android OS upgrades.
The Galaxy S22 and S22+ come with a 120Hz FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display sized 6.1-inches and 6.6-inches, respectively. Both have 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and the same set of cameras comprised of a 50MP main, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP telephoto at the back, and a 10MP shooter in front.
The Galaxy S22 is equipped with a 3700mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging, 15W wireless fast charging, and reverse charging. The Galaxy S22+, on the other hand, has a larger 4500mAh battery and a faster 45W wired fast charging, 15W wireless fast charging, and reverse charging capabilities.
As for the top-of-the-line Galaxy S22 Ultra variant, it has a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The handset also comes with 8GB and 12GB RAM options, storage of up to 1TB, and an updated S Pen, which conveniently pops out from its body like the Note series of old.
Further distinguishing the Ultra variant in the series is its four rear camera setup, highlighted by a 108MP main shooter with secondary cams comprised of a 12MP ultra-wide, a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and another 10MP telephoto with 10x optical zoom.

It has the largest battery with 5000mAh with 45W wired and 15W wireless fast charging.

Starting February 9, 2022 11 PM until March 3, 2022, customers who pre-order the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 UIltra on Samsung.com will get freebies and discounts. It will also come with a Php 10,000 e-voucher which can be used to purchase select mobile products in the Samsung Online Store, a Silicone Case with Strap worth Php 1,999, and a Lucky Box Strap worth Php1,299.
Customers can also pre-order through Samsung Experience Stores, select Authorized Samsung Stores, Lazada, Shopee, Abenson.com, and MemoXpress Online from February 10 to March 3, 2022, to get as much as Php 10,200 worth of freebies for the S22 and S22+ and Php 13,200 worth for the S22 Ultra, including a pair of Galaxy Buds2 (Php 6,990), a Silicone Case with Strap (Php 1,999), and a Lucky Box Strap (Php 1,299).
