Next iPhone SE rumored to use the iPhone XR’s design

The iPhone SE is Apple’s most affordable iPhone in its current lineup of devices. The premise here is that using a dated design in combination with updated internals help keep the price down.

This time around, recent rumors are suggesting that Apple will soon ditch the old iPhone 8 look in favor of a newer (but still dated) iPhone XR design for the next generation of the iPhone SE. The iPhone XR, if you recall, launched in late 2018, which means its design is now almost 4 years, making it a strong candidate as the look of the next iPhone SE.

The concept will likely remain the same — recycling design with new internals. We should then expect the latest processor with updated cameras, among other things.

When we’ll see a new iPhone SE is another matter. Apple takes longer to release new SE models. And since they released one this year, it could mean that the next model will come out next year.

For now, those looking for an affordable iPhone can check out the current iPhone SE. Its in its 3rd generation, rocking an iPhone 8 body powered by an A15 Bionic chip and features a 12MP camera with Deep Fusion, improved computational photography, photographic styles, and Smart HDR 4.
