The POCO M5 and the POCO M5s are now official in the Philippines. Both smartphones will come with an early bird offer with discounted prices on official POCO e-commerce channels. Let’s check out the phones.
The POCO M5 features a 6.58-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with up to 90Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 500 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass. To conserve battery, the refresh rate switches dynamically between 30Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz, depending on what’s on the screen.
Under the hood, the POCO M5 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 gaming chipset with 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB configurations, and an expansion slot of up to 1TB. It has a triple camera setup at the back, 50MP main + 2MP macro + 2MP depth, and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies.
The POCO M5 also features a 5000mAh battery, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a headphone jack.
Meanwhile, the POCO M5s is a smaller budget phone with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay, with up to 1100 nits of brightness and Gorilla Glass 3 on top. This one has a MediaTek Helio G95 processor with 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB configurations, and a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
The POCO M5s has a quad camera setup with a 50MP main, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth, along with a 13MP selfie camera in front.

Other specs include dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a Z-axis linear motor.

POCO M5 price
The POCO M5 will come in three colors — Black, Green, and Yellow. In the Philippines, it will be available in 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB configurations.

The POCO M5 will be available for purchase at an early bird price of Php 7,399 and Php 8,799, respectively from September 7 via Lazada.
POCO M5s price
The POCO M5s, on the other hand, will come in Grey, White, and Blue. It will also be available in two configurations of 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB.

The POCO M5s will be available for purchase at an early bird price of Php 8,599 and Php 9,999, respectively from September 7 via Shopee.
