Of all the countries in the world, the Philippines was the most interested in the new social app, Bondee, according to the digital currency market tracking site CoinGecko.
CoinGecko used Google Trends search data of English search terms relating to the social app from January 1 to February 7, 2023.
According to their research, the Philippines outranks all other countries five times over with the highest total search score of 500 for search terms Bondee-related, including including “Bondee App”, “Download Bondee”, “Bondee iOS” and “Bondee Android”.
It makes sense, considering how enamored we are with social media. According to DIGITAL 2023: THE PHILIPPINES, there are 84.45 million social media users in the country as of January 2023.
The second highest is Singapore, which is unsurprising, considering the app was created by Singapore-based Metadream. Singaporeans’ total search score tallied to only 99, slightly less than one-fifth of the Philippines’ total search score.
Bondee only entered the local scene in January 2023. Since its launch, it has become one of the most popular in Asia. From CoinGecko’s research, 4 out of 20 countries in the list are in Asia, of which, 9 are Southeast Asian countries.
The social app has yet to gain traction in other regions of the world.
