ASUS presents 3D OLED laptop, Zenbook 14X OLED, 2023 ROG Strix Scar in local CES showcase

Earlier this month, we attended an exclusive ASUS event for select members of the local media, where the company showcased some of the products presented at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

The lineup included powerful new models with up to the latest 13th Gen Intel Core i9 HX series CPU and GeForce RTX 40 series Laptop GPU, along with the world’s first glasses-free 3D OLED laptop.

The main attraction was the ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED, the world’s first 3D OLED display powered by ASUS Spatial Vision technology. The creator laptop features a certified color-accurate 120Hz 16-inch 3.2K 3D OLED panel that is capable of viewing 3D photos, videos, or even games, without 3D glasses.

The ASUS Spatial Vision technology uses two cameras that track the movement of the eyes of the viewer. It then adjusts the image in real-time to create the 3D image. To create the 3D effect, the OLED display has a special lenticular lens array that delivers separate images to the left and right eyes. This allows the viewer to see a 3D image with their own eyes.

However, the 3D effect only works on whoever the cameras are tracking, meaning the person next two you won’t experience seeing the 3D image the way you do.

Here’s a rough sample of what it’s like. It’s hard to capture it on camera, but trust me when I say that it is more convincing in real life.
