OnePlus 11 Concept phone unveiled at MWC 2023

OnePlus announced its latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 11 5G, at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. Alongside it, the company also revealed the OnePlus 11 Concept phone, which features the Active CryoFlux technology.

The main feature of the OnePlus 11 Concept phone is Active CryoFlux, a new cooling technology that can reduce the temperature up to 2.1℃, improving the frame rate by 3-4 fps during gameplay. The technology can also bring the temperature down when charging by 1.6℃, reducing the charging time by 30-45 seconds.

To achieve this, OnePlus miniaturized the industrial-grade cooling capability of gaming PCs into a smartphone, using state-of-the-art Active CryoFlux with ceramic piezoelectric micropumps at its center.

The OnePlus 11 Concept phone’s design features a glass unibody and deeply curved edges for a thinner bezel. The phone’s rear cover has a clear design that allows users to actually see the micro-liquid flowing through the pipelines. The same aesthetic is used in the camera lens, which is surrounded by Guilloché etching, a decorative technique that engraves an intricate pattern.

Since this is a concept phone, we won’t likely see the technology on retail devices anytime soon.

In the meantime, the OnePlus 11 5G features hardware-accelerated ray tracing, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile chipset with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB storage with UFS 4.0. To showcase ray tracing in the Tower of Fantasy gameplay, OnePlus worked with Perfect World Games. The device is also the first Snapdragon SpacesTM-ready phone, serving as an entry point for the Snapdragon SpacesTM XR developer program.

The flagship also comes with RAM-Vita, supporting 100W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition, allowing users to spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time using the device. The phone sports a 6.7-inch 2K 120Hz Super Fluid AMOLED Display with LTPO 3.0.

At the same time, the collaboration between OnePlus and Hasselblad continues with the latest OnePlus 11 5G, featuring Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad.

In addition to the OnePlus 11 5G and the OnePlus 11 Concept phone, OnePlus also announced their “1+4+X” product strategy, aiming to expand the OnePlus ecosystem and enhance integration between devices. The portfolio of supporting products includes TVs, audio, wearables, and the newly launched tablet.
