OPPO has released a major software update for its flagship foldable phone, the Find N2 Flip. The update includes a new Spotify Widget, exclusively developed by OPPO and Spotify, which maximizes the functionality of the phone’s cover display by allowing users to enjoy full play control, the Heart button, and content recommendations without unfolding their device.
In addition, a custom-built Speech-to-Text quick reply feature will also be available, accessible through the cover screen when users receive a message. This feature will be supported by popular apps including WhatsApp, Messenger, Messages by Google, Telegram, and LINE.
Peter Dohyung Lee, head of the flagship product line at OPPO, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing the best experience for Find N2 Flip owners. The update, which features the Spotify Widget and Speech-to-Text quick reply, aims to increase freedom for self-expression and creativity, taking advantage of the industry-leading 3.26-inch cover screen.
This is the first significant update for the Find N2 Flip since its international launch in February 2023. It represents OPPO’s four-year commitment to continuous device improvements, which will roll out worldwide from mid-April.
OPPO’s collaboration with Spotify showcases its dedication to developing partnerships that allow users to maximize the benefits of the Find N2 Flip’s pocketable design, best-in-class displays, and bespoke personalization options. More updates for much-loved apps are expected later this year.
The Speech-to-Text feature will be updated automatically, while the Spotify widget can be added manually through the screen widgets settings under “Pocket Player”.
