OPPO is set to launch the OPPO Reno12 Series 5G in the Philippines on July 12, 2024. The lineup, which includes the OPPO Reno12 5G and OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G, brings intuitive AI technology, power-efficient chipsets, and 80W fast charging.
The Reno 12 Series 5G presents the AI LinkBoost feature, a next-generation proprietary communication technology developed by OPPO. It uses a 360º Surround Antenna solution of nine individual antennas designed to boost connectivity even in the most challenging scenarios.
The phones are also introducing BeaconLink, which enables voice calls via Bluetooth with a 200m distance without a cellular or any subscription service.
Additionally, OPPO worked with Smart Communications to put the OPPO Reno12 Series 5G in a series of tests including areas with weak signals, network switching, crowded areas, and recovery tests. The OPPO Reno12 5G and OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G showed impressive results, besting competing brands in all four categories.
OPPO Reno12 Series
The OPPO Reno12 5G and OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G have a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB or 512GB storage options, and 5000mAh batteries with 80W fast charging.
At the front, both devices have a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2412×1080 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The Pro variant has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, while the vanilla one offers Gorilla Glass 7i.
The phones have triple camera setups at the back but with different configurations. The Reno12 Pro has a 50MP main with OIS, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. It also has a 50MP selfie shooter.
The Reno12, on the other hand, has a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, it has a 32MP front shooter instead.
