Acer has unveiled its latest move to enhance the development of glasses-free, stereoscopic 3D experiences on its SpatialLabs Pro devices. The company has expanded its developer tools, offering more avenues for creators to build immersive content and applications.

The new tools include Unity plug-in support, certified OpenXR runtime for SpatialLabs, and the Acer SteamVR Bridge, all designed to unlock the full potential of stereo 3D technology.

Unity Plug-in: Empowering Creators in Various Industries

Acer has launched its support for the Unity plug-in, opening up new possibilities for creators in diverse fields such as education, architecture, construction, medicine, and more. Unity, a widely used platform for creating stereo 3D content and applications, now extends its existing tools and verticals to Acer SpatialLabs Pro Devices. With the Unity plug-in, professional developers can enhance their experiences and present their models in proper 3D form without requiring specialized glasses.

Acer OpenXR Runtime

A significant milestone for Acer, the company has successfully reached conformance for its OpenXR Runtime. This achievement ensures that SpatialLabs Pro devices are conformant with OpenXR, an open standard for extended reality (XR) development.
