ePLDT, Radius Telecoms partner for VITRO Sta. Rosa data center

ePLDT's VITRO Sta. Rosa data center will be the Philippines' first hyperscale facility.

ePLDT teams up with fiber internet provider Radius Telecoms to boost its telco ecosystem in its upcoming VITRO Sta. Rosa data center.

The data center, which is expected to go live in early 2024, will be the Philippines’ first hyperscale facility, catering to the needs of enterprises and hyperscalers who want to set up availability zones and points of presence in the country.

Radius Telecoms will establish a point of presence at VITRO Sta. Rosa, providing reliable connectivity solutions to the data center’s clients. It will also build a diverse fiber facility linking VITRO Sta. Rosa to VITRO Makati 2 and other key data centers in Metro Manila, enhancing ePLDT’s data center interconnect service.

Victor Genuino, ePLDT president and CEO, said the partnership with Radius Telecoms will enhance the hyperconnectivity, resilience and scalability of VITRO Sta. Rosa. “The addition of Radius Telecoms will undoubtedly ensure our clients can navigate the digital landscape with confidence and seize endless growth opportunities,” he said.

Quiel Delgado, Radius Telecoms president and CEO, said he was excited to see the formalization of the partnership, which he believes can create a big ripple in the industry. “Radius and ePLDT’s visions are very aligned. Through this partnership, I believe we can create a big ripple in the industry. That’s why I’m excited to see the formalization of this partnership. But a lot of work needs to be done and you can count on Radius and the team to ensure that we will be successful in this endeavor,” he said.

PLDT Enterprise supports ePLDT and Radius Telecoms through its wide array of fixed and wireless solutions, empowering businesses with technologies to further help them transform and optimize operations.

Genuino said that by collaborating with partners like Radius Telecoms to build robust and world-class facilities, as well as hyperconnected data centers that enable enterprises for hypergrowth, they are propelling themselves closer to the Philippines’ vision of becoming a regional hyperscaler hub.
