HONOR launches a new flagship tablet, the MagicPad 13, in China. The tablet boasts a 13-inch 2.8K resolution display with IMAX Enhanced certification, making it the first tablet to offer this feature.
The IMAX Enhanced display supports 1 billion colors, HDR10, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also has a high brightness of 700 nits and a low color deviation of Delta E<1.
The MagicPad 13 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The tablet runs on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2, which has tablet-optimized apps such. It also supports Honor’s Magic Pencil 3, which has a skin-friendly coating, a matte texture, 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, and 2ms latency.
The tablet has an 8-speaker system certified by QQ Music Best and four microphones that provide a 3D spatial audio setup without the need for headphones. It also has a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front camera for capturing photos and videos.
The MagicPad 13 has a large 10,050mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging via a USB-C port. The port also supports 4K60 output to an external monitor.
The MagicPad 13 is available in three colors: Azure, Star Gray, and Moonlight. It is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly PHP 22,800) for the base variant of 8GB+256GB. The other variants with 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB are priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly PHP 25,100) and CNY 3,699 (roughly PHP 28,100) respectively.
The tablet will go on sale in China on July 20. There is no word on its global availability yet.
