TECNO teases Pova Neo 3 specs and design: Massive battery and 90Hz display

TECNO is gearing up to launch the Pova Neo 3, the successor to the Pova Neo 2 released in September 2022. The company revealed some of the key specs and designs of the upcoming device on Twitter, which promises to offer powerful performance and long-lasting battery life.

According to TECNO, the Pova Neo 3 will feature a 6.82-inch IPS display with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has a hole punch for the selfie camera, which is rumored to have an 8MP sensor.

The Pova Neo 3 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, a 12nm octa-core processor with two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It will also have 8GB of RAM with an additional 8GB of extended RAM, and 128GB of storage.

The phone will run on Android 13 with TECNO’s custom HIOS 13 skin on top. It will support Panther Engine 2.0 to enhance gaming, Game Space 2.0, and DTS dual speakers.

The Pova Neo 3 will sport a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 16MP main sensor and an unknown secondary sensor. TECNO also revealed the phone’s Turbo Mecha Design, available in three colors: Amber Gold, Mecha Black, and Hurricane Blue.

As with most TECNO smartphones, the highlight of the Pova Neo 3 will be its massive 7,000mAh battery. However, it wasn’t revealed if the phone will support fast charging. At the very least, expect the huge battery to last for up to two days on a single charge.

As for when the TECNO Pova Neo 3 will launch, the company has not announced any date or price, but it is expected to sometime soon. Stay tuned for more updates on TECNO’s upcoming budget phone.
