OPPO has introduced a new variant of its popular A Series in the Philippines – the OPPO A78. The new smartphone offers a range of impressive features such as a FHD+ AMOLED screen, 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 50MP AI camera, all for an affordable price of PHP 13,999.
The OPPO A78 is the first OPPO A series phone to sport a FHD+ AMOLED screen, which is uncommon for smartphones in the same price segment. The 6.4-inch screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate, providing a smooth and responsive display. The smartphone also delivers an immersive and clear sound quality with its Dual Stereo Speakers and Real HD Sound 3.0, which can adapt to different scenarios such as music, video, and gaming.
The smartphone also boasts a massive 5,000mAh battery that can last all day. The battery can support up to 8 hours of gaming, 23 hours of phone calls, or 16 hours of continuous video calls, according to OPPO. It also has a Super Power Saving mode and a Super Night-time Standby mode that can further extend the battery life when the phone is idle. Moreover, the OPPO A78 features a 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology that can charge the battery from 0% to 76% in just 30 minutes.
Under the hood, the OPPO A78 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which optimizes power consumption and handles daily tasks with ease. It also has 8GB RAM and a 128 or 256GB ROM configuration that can be expanded up to 1TB with an SD card slot.
The smartphone also offers a dual-rear camera system, consisting of a 50MP AI Main Camera and a 2MP Depth Camera. The front camera has an 8MP Selfie Camera.

The OPPO A78 comes in two color options, Aqua Green and Mist Black. It is priced at PHP 13,999, available in all OPPO authorized stores nationwide, as well as online platforms Lazada and Shopee. Customers can also avail of the phone in 6 or 12 months with 0% interest installment for all credit cards.
