Samsung fans who are looking for a more affordable flagship phone may have something to look forward to in the coming months. According to a recent leak, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is expected to launch in September, and it will feature some impressive specs.

The Galaxy S23 FE, which stands for “fan edition”, is a follow-up to the popular Galaxy S21 FE that was released in 2022. The S21 FE offered a similar design and performance as the Galaxy S21 but with some compromises in the camera and battery departments.

The Galaxy S23 FE, however, seems to have improved on some of those aspects. According to Yogesh Brar, a reliable leaker on Twitter, the Galaxy S23 FE will have an upgraded primary camera, possibly a 50MP sensor with OIS, and a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging and wireless charging.

The leak also claims that the Galaxy S23 FE will be powered by an Exynos 2200 chipset, but some markets will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It will have a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

The phone will have a triple rear camera setup, a 10MP front sensor, a fingerprint scanner under the screen, and an unknown IP rating. It will also run on One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is anticipated to launch in September. It is anticipated to be an affordable Galaxy S23 variant. We’ll find out how much cheaper it is next month. Stay tuned.
