The popular card-collecting mode in NBA 2K24, MyTEAM, is getting a major overhaul with new features and updates that will enhance the gameplay experience for fans.
From crossplay between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to a new player market that replaces the auction house, MyTEAM in NBA 2K24 promises to be more accessible, rewarding, and fun than ever before.
One of the biggest changes coming to MyTEAM is the new MTP system, which allows players to earn more MyTEAM points (MTP) for playing any mode in MyTEAM. MTP can be used to buy player cards directly from the new player market, which offers almost any player card available in the game. The player market also creates a level playing field for everyone in MyTEAM, as players can no longer bid on cards in an auction house.
Another feature coming to MyTEAM is crossplay, which enables players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to compete against each other or team up in Triple Threat Online: Co-Op. This means shorter queues and matchmaking times across all MyTEAM multiplayer modes, as well as the opportunity to play with friends on different platforms.
MyTEAM also introduces a new multiplayer mode called Salary Cap, which features three, two-week rounds each season. Each round has its own leaderboard, salary limit for lineups, and rewards. Players have to balance their roster with different tiers of player cards, each with its own salary value, to stay within the cap and compete for prizes.
Other updates coming to MyTEAM include an overhaul of the XP system, which now allows players to earn XP by simply playing MyTEAM games. The XP system is also shared between MyCAREER and MyTEAM, meaning players can level up their season progress in both modes. Additionally, coach cards in MyTEAM now have unique boosts in certain game situations, such as clutch time or fast break.
The pack market in MyTEAM also gets some improvements based on community feedback. New releases in the pack market will have better odds for rare player cards, as well as more options for guaranteed pulls with fan-favorite pack types.
NBA 2K24 is scheduled for release on September 8 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Progress players make on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of NBA 2K24 will transfer to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions within the same console family.
