Kobe Bryant, the late basketball legend and Hall of Famer, will grace the cover of NBA 2K24, the latest installment of the popular video game series that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
The game, which will be released on September 8 for all platforms, will feature several new features and enhancements, including crossplay compatibility, a new Mamba Moments mode, and a revolutionary technology called ProPLAY.
NBA 2K24 will honor Bryant’s legacy and his impact on the sport by allowing players to relive some of his most memorable performances and achievements in the new Mamba Moments mode.
Players will also experience a new level of realism and authenticity in the game thanks to ProPLAY, a groundbreaking technology that translates NBA footage into NBA 2K24 gameplay. ProPLAY will deliver animations and movements based on real-life NBA action for a generational leap in quality on PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X|S.

NBA 2K24 will offer three editions of the game in various digital and physical formats: a Kobe Bryant Edition, a legendary Black Mamba Edition, and the exclusive 25th Anniversary Edition.
The 25th Anniversary Edition will include a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass courtesy of Take Two; a Summer League Pre-Order Bonus; and various MyTEAM and MyCAREER content and rewards.
The Black Mamba Edition will also include MyTEAM and MyCAREER content and rewards, as well as dual-gen access for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One platforms.
The Kobe Bryant Edition will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC and PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Players in the U.S. and Canada can also purchase a limited version of the WNBA Edition as a GameStop exclusive, featuring WNBA All-Star, NCAA all-time triple-doubles leader, and New York Liberty guard, Sabrina Ionescu, as this year’s cover star.
