Tecno is reportedly working on a new foldable phone called the Phantom V Flip. The design of the device has been leaked online by a case maker, revealing some interesting features.
According to a report from GSM Arena, the leaked images of the Phantom V Flip show a clamshell design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and the Oppo Find N3.
However, what sets it apart is the large circular camera module on the back, which houses two cameras and an LED flash. The camera module also has a small circular display, which can show notifications, time, and other information when the phone is folded.
The case renders also show that the Phantom V Flip will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port, and a punch-hole selfie camera on the front.
Meanwhile, rumors suggest the Phantom V Flip is going to have a 6.9-inch flexible AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset with 5G connectivity, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The battery capacity and charging speed are not known yet, but some reports suggest that it will support 66W fast charging.
The renders may not reflect the final design of the Phantom V Flip, but they offer a glimpse of its potential appearance.
Tecno has not officially announced the Phantom V Flip yet, but it is likely to launch soon, as it has already appeared on the Google Play Console listing. The price and availability of the phone are also unknown, but it is expected to be cheaper than its competitors in the foldable phone market.
