vivo launches the latest member of its V series, the vivo V29 Pro 5G, in India. The phone is priced at INR 39,999 or roughly PHP 27,200.
The vivo V29 Pro 5G looks and feels just like the vivo V29 5G, but with upgraded specs. First, the processor received a boost with a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 with 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations.
Second, the phone adds a 12MP 2x portrait lens that covers an ideal shooting distance of 0.5 meters to 2 meters. It has a Sony IMX663 sensor with a “all-pixel dual-core” that aids in autofocus, even in low light conditions.
The rest of the specifications, however, remain the same to that of the vanilla V29 model, including the Aura Light, the ring-shaped LED flash.
The vivo V29 Pro boasts a 50MP main camera with a 50MP IMX766 sensor and an f/1.9 lens, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It also features a 50MP selfie camera with eye autofocus and a Smart Aura Light flash that can adjust the color temperature according to the environment.
The phone sports a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The display also has an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports 10-bit color depth and HDR10+. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 and packs a 4600mAh battery with support for 80-watt fast charging.
The vivo V29 Pro 5G is available in two colors: Himalayan Blue and Space Black. It is priced at INR 39,999 (roughly PHP 27,200 or USD 480) for the 8GB+256GB model and INR 42,999 (PHP 29,300 or USD 517) for the 12GB+256GB model.
At this time, there’s no word yet if the phone is coming to the Philippines.
