HONOR Play 50 Plus unveiled with a massive 6000mAh battery and a 50MP camera

HONOR launches a new smartphone in China, the HONOR Play 50 Plus, which boasts a huge 6000mAh battery and 35W fast charging support. The phone also features a 6.8-inch FHD+ display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and a 50MP dual camera setup.

The HONOR Play 50 Plus is the latest addition to the HONOR Play series, which focuses on delivering high performance and long battery life for gamers and entertainment lovers. The phone has a sleek design, with a dual ring camera module on the back and a punch-hole selfie camera on the front. The phone comes in four color options: Silver, blue, black, and purple.

The HONOR Play 50 Plus sports a 6.8-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 2412×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.

The smartphone a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, which can also record videos in up to 1080p resolution at 30fps.

The HONOR Play 50 Plus runs on Android 13 with MagicOS 7.2 on top, which offers a smooth and customized user experience. The phone also has various features such as dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C, OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

One of the phone’s highlights is its massive 6000mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging. The phone also has a reverse charging feature, which allows it to charge other devices via a USB-C cable.

The HONOR Play 50 Plus with 12GB+256GB model is priced at CNY1,399 (about PHP10,900). Unfortunately, it is not known yet if the phone will be launched in other markets outside China, including the Philippines. However, given the popularity of the HONOR brand in the country, there is a possibility that it will make its way to the local market soon.
