OPPO A2x unveiled with Dimensity 6020, 90Hz display

OPPO unveiled its latest entry-level device, the OPPO A2x, in China. The OPPO A2x features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 13MP main camera, and a 5000mAh battery. The highlight of the device is its chipset, a MediaTek Dimensity 6020, which offers decent performance for its price range.

The Dimensity 6020 is an octa-core processor with two large cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It also has a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.

The OPPO A2x has a single 13MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash on the back and a 5MP selfie camera on a water drop notch with an f/2.2 aperture on the front. It supports up to 1080p video recording at 30fps on both cameras.

The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. It runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 on top. It also has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, and a large 5000mAh battery.

OPPO A2x

The OPPO A2x is available in three colors: Black, Gold, and Purple. It is priced at CNY 1,099 (₱8,500 / $150) for the 6GB+128GB variant and CNY 1,399 (₱10,900 / $190) for the 8GB+256GB variant. The device is currently on sale in China, but there is no word on its international availability.
