The nominees are Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-man 2, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some of the more interesting categories include Best Mobile Game, Best Esports Game, Best Adaptation, and Best Independent Game.
The Best Mobile Game category honors the games that have delivered the best experience on smartphones and tablets. The nominees are Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Honkai: Star Rail, Monster Hunder Now, and Terra Nil.
The Best Esports Game category recognizes the games that have excelled in competitive gaming, with a large and engaged community, high-quality tournaments, and fair gameplay. The nominees are Counter-Strike 2, DOTA 2, League of Legends, PUBG Mobile, and Valorant.
The Best Adaptation category celebrates the games that have successfully translated their stories and characters to the big screen. The nominees are Castlevania: Nocturne, Gran Turismo, The Last of Us, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Twisted Metal.
And finally, the Best Independent Game category honors the games that have been developed by small teams or individuals, with limited resources, but with great vision and passion. The nominees are Cocoon, Dave the Diver, Dredge, Sea of Stars, and Viewfinder.
