Blacklist International, Team Secret, and other PH esports teams gun for glory at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals

The stage is set for the biggest esports event of the year: the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals. The SM Mall of Asia Arena will host the epic showdown of 26 teams from across the region, who will vie for the prestigious Predator Shield and a slice of the $200,000 prize pool in Dota 2 and VALORANT on January 13 and 14.

The spotlight will be on the Filipino teams, facing tough competition from the region’s best.

In Dota 2, four teams will represent the Philippines: Blacklist International, Execration, Polaris Esports, and Made in Philippines. Blacklist International and Execration are veteran teams with international experience, while Polaris Esports are the reigning Asia Pacific Predator League champions. Made in Philippines are the newcomers who emerged victorious in the Philippine qualifiers.

In VALORANT, three teams will carry the Philippine flag: Team Secret, Oasis Gaming, and ZOL Esports. Team Secret is one of the top teams in the VCT Pacific League, with a roster of seasoned players. Oasis Gaming and ZOL Esports are the winners of the Philippine Finals, who proved themselves in the qualifiers.

“It will be anybody’s game. Predator League is the stomping ground of the region’s up-and-coming esports talents. We are excited to see who is hungry enough for the victory to overcome the competition and win the Predator Shield,” said Sue Ong Lim, General Manager at Acer Philippines.

The two-day event will not only feature thrilling esports matches but also fun and engaging activities for the fans. There will be meet-and-greet sessions with Predator ambassadors, as well as performances by popular Filipino artists, including Acer ambassadors Sarah Geronimo and SB19.

“January 13 and 14 will be an esports and entertainment spectacle like no other. We have prepared so many exciting activities and awesome surprises that everyone will surely enjoy,” said Princess Laosantos, Senior Marketing Manager at Acer Philippines.
