HONOR launches the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR

HONOR and Porsche Design have teamed up to create the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR, the thinnest inward-foldable smartphone on the market. The device was unveiled in Shanghai, China, showcasing the joint innovation and design of the two partners.

The PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR is the first product of the collaboration between HONOR and Porsche Design, which aims to bring the best of human-centric technology and functional aesthetics to global consumers.

“United by a shared pursuit of excellence, HONOR and Porsche Design will co-design the next generation of smart devices, combining human-centric technology and functional design to create exciting products for global consumers,” said George Zhao, CEO of HONOR Device Co., Ltd.

Stefan Buescher, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Lifestyle Group, expressed his excitement about launching the first jointly developed smartphone. He said that Porsche Design wanted to bring the unique Porsche spirit and values to life through its products and that anyone who bought a Porsche Design item became part of the global Porsche family. “Our goal is to transport this emotion as well as the progressive functionality, cutting-edge technology, and the unique design language to customers around the globe,” adds Buescher.

The PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR features a bold design inspired by motorsports, with a flyline on the backside that resembles the hood of a Porsche 911. The device comes in the Porsche car color Agate Grey, and has an improved grip that provides a sportscar experience in the user’s palm.

The device is also a pioneer in terms of portability and durability, as it weighs only 234g and is just 9.9mm thick. It incorporates the industry’s first Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, which improves the display’s resistance to damage by ten times and gives it a hardness rating of over seven on the Mohs scale.

The device has a stunning foldable OLED LTPO display that supports 1.07 billion colors and offers an unprecedented visual experience. It also has eye protection features such as 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Dynamic Dimming, and Circadian Night Display, which reduce eye fatigue and cater to the needs of heavy users.
