realme 12 Pro 5G Series launched, 12 Pro+ packs periscope camera

Featuring a 6.7-inch FHD Curved Vision Display, 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging, and a triple camera setup.

realme launched its latest flagship series, the realme 12 Pro 5G, in India. The series consists of two models, the realme 12 Pro 5G and the realme 12 Pro+ 5G, both featuring a design developed with Swiss watchmaker Ollivier Savéo, renowned for working with luxury Swiss watch brands, such as Rolex, Roger Dubuis, Piaget, Breitling, and Quentin.

The realme 12 Pro+ 5G is the more premium model of the series, boasting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a 50MP main camera with OIS and a Sony IMX890 sensor.

The highlight of the phone is the 64MP periscope telephoto camera, which offers up to 3X optical zoom and 120x SuperZoom, as well as OIS and an OmniVision OV64B sensor. The third camera is an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the selfie camera has a 32MP Sony sensor.

The realme 12 Pro+ 5G also runs on realme UI 5.0, based on Android 14. It has a 6.7-inch FHD Curved Vision Display, with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and Double-Reinforced Glass for protection.

The realme 12 Pro+ 5G is priced at INR 29,999 (around P20,400 / USD 360) for the 8GB+128GB model, INR 31,999 (P21,700 / USD 380)for the 8GB+256GB model, and INR 33,999 (P23,100 / USD 410) for the 12GB+256GB model. The phone comes in three colors, Submarine Blue, Navigator Beige, and an India-exclusive Explorer Red

The realme 12 Pro 5G is the more affordable model of the series, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, and a 50MP main camera with OIS and a Sony IMX882 sensor.

realme 12 Pro Plus 5G

Instead of the periscope lens, the phone has a telephoto camera with a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor. The camera supports 3x optical zoom and OIS, but not SuperZoom. The third camera is an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and the selfie camera is a 16MP Sony sensor.

The realme 12 Pro 5G also has the same 6.7-inch FHD Curved Vision Display, 5000mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging, and realme UI 5.0 as the realme 12 Pro+ 5G.

realme 12 Pro Plus 5G

The phone is priced at INR 25,999 (around P17,700 / USD 310) for the 8GB+128GB model and INR 26,999 (P18,300 / USD 320) for the 8GB+256GB model. It is available in two colors, Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige.

The series is expected to compete with other mid-range devices in the market from such brands as Samsung, OPPO, vivo, and realme.

The realme 12 Pro 5G Series will be available in India with to launch the series in other markets in the coming months.
