UP Open University offers 24 free online courses

The online courses are free and self-paced. Once completed, it can be added to resumes.

The UP Open University (UPOU) is offering 24 free online courses. These courses are free, self-paced, and open to everyone, which means they can be completed at their own pace and convenience.

UPOU’s free online courses include various ODeL-related accreditations, gender sensitivity training, social entrepreneurship, video editing, business analytics, and more. Each month of 2024 will have different courses.

At the end of each course, completers will be awarded e-certificates which can be added to resumes as a 16-hour training.

A MODel account is needed to enroll. MODeL is the Massive Open Distance e-Learning platform of UPOU. It hosts the online courses and provides interactive features such as forums, quizzes, and videos.

Those with a MODeL account can self-enroll in the courses featured on the UPOU website. Those without one can follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the registration form: https://url.upou.edu.ph/upoumodel-signup
    Note: Login credentials are sent every THURSDAY until 4 PM on Wednesdays. Requests after the cut-off will be processed the following week.
  2. Sign in to your new MODeL account upon receiving the email.
  3. Change your password.
