The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) is offering a wide range of free online courses throughout 2025. These courses, known as MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), are free, self-paced, and open to everyone, which means they can be completed at their own pace and convenience.
UPOU’s free online courses cover a variety of topics designed to help users learn new skills and boost their professional development, including interesting topics such as “Identifying Red Flags” and “Creativity and Innovation,” as well as trending ones like “Artificial Intelligence” and “Gender Sensitivity.”
Each month of 2025 will have different courses. Those who complete the courses will be awarded e-certificates which can be added to resumes as a 16-hour training.
Those with a MODeL account can self-enroll on the UPOU website. Those without one can follow these steps:
- Fill out the registration form: https://url.upou.edu.ph/upoumodel-signup
Note: Login credentials are sent every THURSDAY until 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. Requests after the cut-off will be processed the following week. - Sign in to your new MODeL account upon receiving the email.
- Change your password.
