Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 official trailer released by Disney

The show is a direct sequel to the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series that ran from 1992 to 1997.

Disney just unveiled the official trailer for Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97, a direct sequel to the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series that ran from 1992 to 1997.

The trailer features the iconic theme song and showcases the core members of the X-Men, including Scott Summers/Cyclops, Jean Grey, Logan/Wolverine, Ororo Munroe/Storm, Rogue, Hank McCoy/Beast, Gambit, and Jubilee.

X-Men ’97 will pick up where X-Men: The Animated Series left off in 1997’s “Graduation Day”, which saw a dying Charles Xavier leave the X-Men to go with Lilandra back to the Shi’Ar homeworld to be healed. The team is left with X-Men’s long-time villain, Magneto, who now leads the team.

The show will feature a mix of veteran and new actors to voice the beloved characters. Reprising their roles are Cal Dodd (Wolverine/Logan), Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm/Ororo Munroe), Lenore Zann (Rogue), George Buza (Beast/Henry “Hank” McCoy), Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner), and Chris Britton (Mister Sinister/Nathaniel Essex).

Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 will premiere on Disney+ on March 20, 2024. It is produced by Marvel Studios and Marvel Animation, and written by Beau DeMayo.
