X-Men ’97 is the highest-rated MCU show on Rotten Tomatoes

The show surpassed Ms. Marvel (98%) and the critically acclaimed Black Panther (96%).

X-Men ’97 recently completed its first season. And as it turns out, it is the highest-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project on Rotten Tomatoes.

The animated series boasts a near-perfect score of 99% on the Tomatometer, surpassing previous frontrunners Ms. Marvel (98%) and the critically acclaimed Black Panther (96%).

In my opinion, X-Men ’97 successfully recaptured the magic of the original series while offering a fresh continuation for longtime fans like me.

The first season delivered a compelling narrative as it reignited nostalgic emotions, and surprised viewers with high-profile cameos that include Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Daredevil, and Black Panther, as well as lesser-known characters like Psylocke and members of Alpha Flight, Silver Samurai, and Omega Red and his team.

For those worried if the show is ending, don’t worry. Disney already announced the second season before the finale even aired. With such a strong debut, the biggest question now is whether X-Men ’97 can maintain momentum and continue to resonate with audiences.
