Disney+ releases ‘The Acolyte’ trailer

The two-episode premiere will be streaming on the platform this June 4.

Disney+ unveiled the trailer for its much-anticipated series, “The Acolyte.” The trailer, which premiered on March 19, 2024.

The series is set in the High Republic era before the events of the main Star Wars films, when the Jedi Order was at the peak of their power. The trailer hints at a story that delves into the complexities of the Force, with a focus on the emergence of dark side acolytes. The two-episode premiere will be streaming on Disney+ this June 4.

“The Acolyte” boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae as Jedi Master Sol, Amandla Stenberg as former Padawan Mae, and The Matrix Trilogy’s Carrie-Anne Moss as Jedi Master Andara, among others.

The series is the brainchild of creator and showrunner Leslye Headland, known for her work on “Russian Doll” and “Bachelorette”.
