The Force is strong with Disney+‘s latest Star Wars offering, “The Acolyte.” The series premiered to 11.1 million views globally after five days, solidifying its position as the streaming platform’s biggest series debut this year.

This viewership achievement comes with the first episode garnering 4.8 million views. The Acolyte throws viewers headfirst into the action with a captivating opening fight scene, laying the groundwork for the central mystery that unfolds throughout the season.

The series is set during the High Republic Era, a lesser-explored period in the Star Wars universe. It follows a respected Jedi Master Sol tasked with investigating a series of crimes. However, his investigation takes an unexpected turn as he is forced to confront a dangerous warrior from his past.

Disney+ is currently streaming the first two episodes of The Acolyte, with new episodes arriving every Wednesday in the Philippines until July 17. The Disney+ platform has all the Star Wars titles from the original trilogy to the latest series.
