Xiaomi officially launched the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in China, ahead of its global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). This premium smartphone boasts a powerhouse camera system co-developed with renowned optics maker Leica, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and a sleek, premium design.
The highlight of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra remains its quad-camera setup, now sporting a sleeker camera island that seamlessly integrates with the leather or glass back panel.
While the configuration remains unchanged, Xiaomi has significantly upgraded the sensors. The main camera now features the latest Sony LYT-900 sensor, promising superior image quality and low-light performance.
Additionally, the phone introduces Xiaomi’s first AI-powered computational photography platform, AISP, offering features like ULTRA SNAP, ULTRA RAW, and ULTRA ZOOM.
Beyond the main sensor, the phone also boasts a 50MP telephoto lens with a 75mm focal length, another 50MP telephoto lens with a 120mm focal length, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 122-degree field of view. This impressive array allows for stunning portrait shots, detailed telephoto captures, and expansive landscape photography. Videography enthusiasts will also be pleased with the ability to shoot up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra packs a punch with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4 storage.
Additionally, the phone’s 6.73-inch 2K LPTO AMOLED display boasts a high 120Hz refresh rate, vibrant HDR technologies, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits for excellent outdoor visibility. It also has a massive 5300mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra also offers a load of premium features, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a 4000mm² liquid cooling chamber for sustained performance, IP68 dust and water resistance, and Dolby Atmos sound. It runs on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS operating system.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes in white, black, or blue colorways, and starts at CNY 6,499 (around P50,000) for the 12GB+256GB model and CNY 6,999 (P54,000) for the 16GB+512GB variant. The titanium variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage goes for CNY 7,799 (P60,500).
