Netflix’s Damsel stars Millie Bobby Brown, will stream on March 8

Netflix is set to release a fiery addition to its roster with Damsel, directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. The film will make its debut on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day.

The film stars Millie Bobby Brown, known for her breakout role in Stranger Things, as a young damsel whose fairy-tale marriage to a prince morphs into a life-or-death struggle. The plot thickens when she is thrust into the role of a sacrificial offering to a dragon, a creature synonymous with destruction and fear in lore and legend.

The film’s cast includes Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Brooke Carter, and Shohreh Aghdashloo. Damsel is based on the novel by Evelyn Skye.

It is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and written by Dan Mazeau, produced by Chris Castaldi, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Joe Roth.

You can catch Damsel only on Netflix starting March 8, 2024.
