realme will soon add a new member to its popular Number Series in the Philippines with the upcoming launch of the realme 12 5G. The smartphone launched in India in March of this year and will join a lineup that includes the realme 12 Pro+ 5G and realme 12+ 5G.
The realme 12 5G is built around a 6.72-inch IPS display with an FHD+ 2400×1080 resolution, a 6-level refresh rate that ranges from 45-120Hz, and a peak brightness of 950 nits.
Under the hood, the phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G chipset with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
One of the phone’s new features is the Dynamic Button, realme’s version of Apple’s Action Button. Here, the power button includes some other functions besides a fingerprint scanner, such as activating the flashlight or turning on airplane mode.
In the photography department, the realme 12 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera setup, boasting a 108MP main camera, paired with a 2MP portrait lens. It also has an 8MP shooter in front.
The phone also features a side fingerprint scanner, realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14, stereo speakers, and a headphone jack.
As for the price, it will be revealed on April 25, 2024. You can watch the live stream launch on realme’s Facebook and YouTube pages at 6 p.m. In India, the realme 12 5G has a starting price of INR 16,999 (around P11,500).
