Apple unveiled the next generation of the iPad Pro. The new tablet boasts the all-new M4 chip, built on a cutting-edge 3nm process, marking a significant leap in performance and efficiency.
Available in familiar 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, the new iPad Pro introduces the stunning Ultra Retina XDR display. This display technology uses tandem OLED to deliver exceptional contrast, color accuracy, and brightness.
Moreover, Apple managed to keep the iPad Pro incredibly thin – the 11-inch model comes in at a mere 5.3mm, while the 13-inch model is even thinner at 5.1mm.
The heart of the new iPad Pro lies in the M4 chip. This chip features a combination of up to four high-performance cores and six efficiency cores, alongside a powerful 10-core GPU.
Apple claims the M4 delivers the same level of performance as the M2 chip while consuming only half the power. Additionally, compared to the latest PC chips found in thin and light laptops, the M4 offers equivalent performance using a mere quarter of the power.
On the imaging front, the iPad Pro retains a versatile 12MP rear camera capable of capturing Smart HDR photos and videos. The front camera was upgraded to a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with Center Stage functionality and was repositioned to a landscape orientation.
Connectivity remains top-notch with a high-performance USB-C port featuring Thunderbolt 3 and USB 4 support. It also has Wi-Fi 6E, while Wi-Fi + Cellular models offer 5G connectivity via eSIM. The new iPad Pro runs on iPadOS 17, providing access to the latest features and functionalities.
Alongside the iPad Pro, Apple also unveiled a redesigned Magic Keyboard and Smart Folio, both boasting a thinner and lighter profile to complement the sleek design of the new iPad Pro.
