vivo V40 5G unveiled with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, ZEISS cameras, 80W fast charging

vivo expands its smartphone lineup with the new vivo V40 5G, unveiled in Europe.

The vivo V40 5G has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2800×1260 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits.

It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset with 8GB of RAM, up to 12GB RAM expansion, and 256GB of storage. It also packs a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

The phone is equipped with dual cameras, consisting of a 50MP main and a 50MP ultra-wide, both with ZEISS optics. For selfies and video calls, it uses a 50MP front shooter.

Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP68 dust- and water-resistant build, and Funtouch OS 14 on top of Android 14.

The vivo V40 is priced at EUR 599 (around PHP 37,700). There’s no news yet if it will come to the Philippines.
