vivo has unveiled the Y18i in India to expand its budget smartphone lineup. It boasts a durable design and a 90Hz display.
The Y18i appears to be a rebranded version of the previously launched Y03t, sharing similar design and features.
It has a tough build, reportedly surviving drops from 1 meter and withstanding extreme temperatures. It also has an IP54 water-resistant rating and a scratch-resistant back that further enhances its durability.
The Y18i has a 6.56-inch HD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s powered by a Unisoc T612 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device also has a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
On the back, a dual camera system houses a 13MP main sensor alongside a secondary auxiliary lens. A 5MP front-facing camera takes care of selfies.
In India, the vivo Y18i is priced at INR 7,999 (around Php 5,370). However, considering the Y03t’s existing presence in the Philippines, the arrival of the Y18i in the region is unlikely.
