The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 14 is officially underway from August 16 to October 6. This season, dubbed “Heroes Within,” sees Smart Communications joining forces with publisher MOONTON Games as the official telco partner.
MPL-PH Season 14 will feature eight teams — Blacklist International (BLCK), Falcons APBren (FCAP), Fnatic Onic (FNOP), RSG Philippines (RSG), Smart Omega (OMG), Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH), TNC Pro Team (TNC), and the newly formed AURORA (RORA), boasting seasoned esports athletes from various MPL teams.
All eight teams will battle it out for a shot at the massive USD 150,000 prize pool and the honor of representing the Philippines at the upcoming M6 World Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Teams will play two best-of-three (BO3) matches against seven other teams, with ranking determined by a point system. The lower bracket final has been revamped to a best-of-seven series to determine the strongest opponent for the Grand Finals.
MOONTON also unveiled the Open Global Transfer System, which opens the door for mid-season player swaps between MPL and MDL teams within the MLBB Esports ecosystem. This means teams can tap talents from other MPL regions, including free agents.
Meanwhile, Smart, as the official telco partner, will launch the “MPL PH Smart Battle Trips,” giving community heroes and student leaders a chance to watch the MPL matches.
