OPPO has unveiled its latest flagship series in China, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. These devices boast a sleek new design and powerful performance, making them strong contenders in the premium smartphone market.
The Find X8 has a compact 6.59-inch flat AMOLED display with an FHD 2760×1256 resolution, a 10-bit panel, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 100% DCI-P3 gamut and a peak brightness of 4500 nits.
At the back sits a triple-camera module with a 50MP main camera backed by a Sony LYT-700 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with an ISOCELL HN5 sensor, and a 50MP periscope camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor and 3x optical zoom. It also has a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The Find X8 Pro, on the other hand, shares the same display technologies as the standard model. However, it offers a larger 6.78-inch FHD+ panel.
The camera setup remains identical, but the extra space allows for an additional 50MP periscope telephoto camera with a Sony IMX858 sensor and a longer 6x optical zoom. The Pro model also features a dedicated “Quick Shot” button with customizable functions.
Both smartphones are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset in various configurations. The Find X8 Pro offers up to 1TB of storage. They also run on ColorOS 15 and benefit from AI-powered features, including image enhancements and an AI eraser. Additionally, both models feature an alert slider.
The Find X8 is equipped with a 5630mAh battery, while the Find X8 Pro boasts a slightly larger 5910mAh capacity. Both support 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, and are IP68/IP69 certified for dust and water resistance.
The OPPO Find X8 comes in four colors: Starfield Black, Floating Light White, Chasing Wind Blue, and Bubble Pink. Prices start at CNY 4,199 (Php 34,400 or USD 590) for the 12GB+256GB variant and increase to CNY 4,999 (Php 41,000 or USD 700) for the top-end 16GB+512GB variant.
The Find X8 Pro, on the other hand, is offered in Hoshino Black, Cloud White, and Sky Blue colors. Prices begin at CNY 5,299 (Php 43,400 or USD 740) for the 12GB+256GB variant. The top-tier 16GB+1TB model, equipped with satellite communication, is priced at CNY 6,799 (Php 55,700 or USD 955).
Currently, there’s no word on whether these smartphones will be available in the Philippines. Stay tuned.
