HONOR is set to unveil the HONOR X9c 5G in the Philippines on January 10. Dubbed the “toughest phone of the year,” the device takes durability to the next level with an “All-Angle Triple Defense” system, which includes three main components.
The first key aspect of the phone’s durability is its use of Super Double Tempered Glass on both sides. This material protects the display and the camera module, offering enhanced drop and scratch resistance. Tests have shown the phone surviving falls from up to two meters on surfaces like marble and asphalt.
Additionally, the device uses under-screen shock-absorbing material. The gap between the screen and the mid-frame is filled with it, effectively reducing the impact transferred to the display from the supporting frame.
Lastly, the HONOR X9c 5G boasts a 3-layer defense system to ensure water resistance. This includes:
- External leakage port protection: Upgraded with LIM (Liquid Injection Molding) rubber rings for enhanced sealing around side keys, speakers, and the SIM card tray.
- Interface protection: USB ports feature a straight surface design with double sealing ribs, while the card tray uses pinholes to control roughness and minimize leakage.
- Board-level and software protection: BTB protection with added foam, coupled with waterproof detection and software safeguards, significantly improves the phone’s resistance to water damage.

The HONOR X9c 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, a dual camera system with a 108MP sensor, and a massive 6600mAh battery with 66W fast charging. The handset also boasts an IP65M dust and water resistance rating and an SGS 5-star drop resistance certification.
