ASUS announces ROG Phone 9 FE with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip

ASUS has announced the ROG Phone 9 FE in Thailand. The handset is available in the country for THB 29,990, which converts to around PHP 51,800 or roughly USD 890.

Despite the price, the FE means its a meant to be the “budget” alternative to the more expensive ROG Phone 9 and Phone 9 Pro. Here is what it offers for the money.

The ROG Phone 9 FE boasts a 6.78-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with up to 185Hz refresh rate via Game Genie, a brightness of up to 2500 nits, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. It also boasts a 5500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.

For optics, the gaming phone has a triple camera setup, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera, a 13MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro sensor. It also has a 32MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.

The rest of the specs include an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, VC cooling, an IP68-rated build, and Air Triggers.
