The vivo V50 is set to debut in India on February 17, 2025. The handset promises to outdo its predecessor with upgraded specs and features.
The V50 will have a quad-curved display similar to the X200 Pro. It will also have three 50MP ZEISS cameras, including a 50MP main and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, offering three focal lengths: 23mm, 35mm, and 50mm. Additionally, the handset will come with seven classic ZEISS-style bokeh options.
The V-series’ ring lighting system also returns for version 2. The AI Studio Light Portrait 2.0 promises no glare and provides a soft, natural glow for portraits in any lighting condition.
Battery life is another area of improvement. The V50 will feature a massive 6000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support, making it the slimmest smartphone in India with such a large battery capacity.
Durability is also a highlight. The smartphone will have an IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rating, along with an upgraded Shield Glass from Schott, making it 50% more drop-resistant compared to its predecessor.
Performance-wise, the vivo V50 promises a 60-month fluency, ensuring smooth and lag-free operation over time. It will run on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15, and will include several AI features such as AI Transcript Assist, vivo Live Call Translation, Circle to Search, and Google Gemini.
