HUAWEI has unveiled the Mate XT, an advanced foldable phone, at the HUAWEI Innovative Product Launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The device boasts a 10.2-inch tri-fold display and a remarkably thin 3.6mm ultra-slim frame.
The Mate XT offers three display modes: a spacious 10.2-inch triple-sized display, a 7.9-inch dual-sized display, and a 6.4-inch single-sized display. The screen features multi-directional flexible materials that are 25% more bend-resistant, providing resistance to compression when folded inward and tension when folded outward. The Composite Screen Structure, which uses non-Newtonian fluid materials and large UTG glass, makes the screen 30% more impact-resistant.
The innovative Advanced Precision Hinge is key to the Mate XT’s design, incorporating both inward and outward hinges. These hinges are constructed from ultra-high strength steel, ensuring durability and smooth operation.
While HUAWEI did not specify the Mate XT’s processor, the device comes equipped with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also features a large 5600mAh battery that supports 66W wired SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge.
On the photography front, the Mate XT is equipped with a camera module featuring a Star Diamond Design, which houses three sensors: a 50MP XMAGE main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. The front camera is an 8MP selfie shooter.
The handset runs on EMUI 14.2, with the App Gallery providing access to a wide range of apps. It is available in Nebula Red and Black, with a premium vegan leather finish that offers a smooth, anti-fingerprint surface.
The HUAWEI Mate XT is priced at EUR 3,499, which converts to around PHP 213,000. For availability details in your region, visit HUAWEI’s official website. In the Philippines, the device will be available starting this March.
